How do I get to Favignana?
The island can be reached from Trapani or Marsala by the Liberty Lines hydrofoils www.libertylines.it or from Trapani by the Siremar ferries (https://carontetourist.it/it/siremar).
By plane, destination Trapani or Palermo and from there by taxi, bus or organised transfer service to the port of Trapani to reach Favignana.
Is there a shuttle service from/to the port?
The hotel provides a shuttle service (book at firstname.lastname@example.org), from/to the following airports:
- Birgi airport in Trapani € 33 per person, per journey, including hydrofoil ticket and taxi on the island to reach the hotel;
- Falcone and Borsellino airport in Palermo € 49 per person, per journey, including hydrofoil ticket and taxi on the island to reach the hotel.
The service can be booked in advance, indicating the time of arrival or departure.
The hotel offers a daily timetabled shuttle service from the port of Favignana to the Hotel and vice versa.
Do the hydrofoils and ferries sail on Sundays and public holidays?
Yes, they are active all year round barring adverse weather and sea conditions.
Can I book the ticket for the ferry/hydrofoil at the hotel?
No, but you can book online through the websites indicated above.
Can cars be taken onto the island?
It is forbidden for non-residents to disembark cars and motorbikes from 1 July to 15 September except for those of tourists who have booked at least 5 nights in a hotel. Call us if you need more detailed information.
Where can I leave my car before taking the hydrofoil?
If you want to leave your car in the city of Trapani, we suggest you use secure car parks that offer a shuttle service to the seaports. For example, the multi-storey Egadi car park: www.atmtrapani.it
Is there a local tourist tax?
No, however, the town of Favignana applies a landing fee of € 2.50 per person, per landing.
Where is the hotel located?
Cave Bianche Hotel is located in the middle of a limestone quarry in the heart of Favignana, around 3 km from the town, 0.8 km from Cala Azzurra and 1 km from the Lido Burrone beach, two of the most famous spots on the island. The unique location guarantees relaxation and peace.
At what time are the rooms available on the day of arrival?
Check-in starts from 14.00, if you arrive earlier you can use our services. We will make sure that your room takes priority, depending on the contingent availability.
Can guests use the hotel’s services on the day of departure?
Yes. All of the hotel’s services are available to our guests up to the time of departure. The rooms must be left free before 10.30
Can we connect to the Wi-Fi?
Yes, ask reception for the password for free use of the Wi-Fi.
Does the hotel have a wellness centre?
No, but it has a relaxation area with large swimming pool, whirlpools, lounge-bar and solarium.
What type of breakfast is served and at what time?
A continental-style buffet breakfast is served from 7.30 until 10.00.
Does the hotel have a restaurant?
Yes. The restaurant is open for lunch, from 12.30 to 14.30, and for dinner, from 20.00.
How is the restaurant service organised?
An à la carte menu with fresh fish and a menu of the day based on seasonal produce.

Does the hotel have a car park?
The hotel has a large free unguarded outdoor car park.
What is the coastline like?
The northern coast is rocky but accessible while the southern coast is partly sandy. The beaches on the island are all free but sun loungers and deckchairs can be rented for greater comfort at some of them.
What is the best way to get around the island?
We recommend renting a bike. Scooters and cars can also be rented.
The reception staff can book these from the supplier we use and they will arrive at the hotel in under 2 hours.
What excursions do you recommend?
Our staff can give you advice about boat trips to the nearby islands and guided visits around the island and can book these services for you.
